All translations are co-ordinated by Project Managers working within the Company’s order handling procedure.

This procedure is designed to be sufficiently formal, ensuring that the client’s translation requirements are handled in the most efficient and comprehensive way, but also flexible enough to cope with those situations where only short timelines are given.

The DWL order handling procedure may be summarised as follows:

Stage 1:     Evaluating client requirements

 
Determining: source and target language; subject matter; type of documentation; target audience; project size; timelines and presentation.

Stage 2:    Appointing a project manager and selecting translators


Selecting the best qualified translators and appointing a dedicated project manager to co-ordinate the project and to liaise with both client and translator.

Stage 3:    Pre-translation preparation


Preparing many of the component parts of the translation and documentation “off-line”. This allows the translator to maximise the time spent on the actual job of translating.

Stage 4:    Translation

Producing a true and accurate translation of the original document.

Stage 5:    Quality Control and Validation


Checking that the client’s requirements are met with respect to rendition and layout. "Certificates of Translation" may be issued on request.

Stage 6:    Delivering the translated document to the client


Ensuring that the client receives the translated documentation in the agreed format on time.
